By getting their ISO statuses renewed for a fourth time, ALS proved their consistency and dedication to maintaining the highest standards of quality. An article from Common Sense Advisory (CSA), a market research group in Massachusetts, reveals that nearly 70% of language service companies say that having status ISO 9001 has improved their clients’ perception of their quality. CSA’s follow-up research indicates that 53% of buyers believe the ISO 9000:2000 standard to be either “somewhat” or “very” important.
International Standards Authority (ISA), an accreditation registrar headquartered in California, says that ISO 9001 is the most in-demand certification. With the latest ISO 9001:2008 standard in place, it can be expected that other language service providers will also seek ISO certification once they are ready.
