A Client shall utilize the ISA Mark only in association with a facility shown in the Listing of Registered facilities, and in accordance with the following requirements.
ISA will take suitable action to deal with any violation of the following requirements including incorrect references to the registration system or misleading use of marks. Such action could include corrective action, suspension or withdrawal of registration certificate, publication of the transgression and, if necessary, other legal action.
ISA and its Mark(s) are registered trademarks of ISA. No Client or person shall apply or use the ISA Mark in connection with a facility, or represent in any way that the facility is registered, until facility has been given Registration Certificate from ISA. The client shall conform to ISA ‘s requirement as it pertains to use of ISA’s mark when making reference to its certification status in communication media such as the internet, brochures or advertising, or other documents:
a) The client shall not use ISA’s mark on a product or product packaging or in any other way that may be interpreted as denoting product conformity. There shall be no ambiguity, in the mark or accompanying text, as to what has been certified.
b) The client shall not permit its mark to be applied to laboratory test, calibration, inspection reports, or certificates as such reports are deemed to be products in this context.
c) The client shall not make or permit any misleading statement as determined by ISA regarding its certification.
d) Any statement made by the client on product packaging or accompanying information pertaining to its certified management system shall in no way imply that the product, process or service is certified and shall include reference to identification (e.g. brand or name) of the certified client, the type of management system (e.g. quality) and the applicable standard (e.g. ISO 9001:2015), and the certification body issuing the certificate (i.e. ISA).
e) The client shall not use or permit the use of a certification document or any part thereof in a misleading manner as determined by ISA.
f) Upon suspension or withdrawal of its certification, the client shall discontinue its use of all advertising matter that contains a reference to certification as directed by ISA.
g) The client shall amend all advertising matter when the scope of certification has been reduced.
h) The client shall not allow reference to its management system certification to be used in such a way as to imply that ISA certified a product (including service) or process.
i) The client shall not imply that the certification applies to activities that are outside the scope of certification.
j) The client shall not use its certification in such a manner that would bring ISA and/or the certification system into disrepute and lose public trust.
The ISA Mark shall be displayed as shown below, in black and white, or in the predominate color of the letterhead or printing:
